Stag dos are bad

Well this weekend was the stag do of John Hutchins. I can't go to his wedding, despite being best man, as it's the day before London Marathon, so I broke my self-imposed alcohol ban to ensure maximal enjoyment in sunny Bournemouth. Nick and I had catered for this and not planned much running over the weekend and made up for it with a hard week beforehand. I did go out both nights and did get pretty drunk, but I remember Pete Riley telling me it's fine to take weekends off occasionally. I don't *really* believe him - I think he's just talented enough to get away with and I'm not really, but I'm sure one easy weekend hasn't done me much damage. I'm sure the dancing in Walkabout gave me some aerobic benefit...!

We did manage a 70 minute run on the sunday, and my legs actually felt fine. I've not picked up a cold (yet) so that's the main thing and now I'm just focussing on a good run in Holland this weekend. Back on the no-alcohol wagon from here to London!
