Trainingsession 24-30th January

Sunday - 2hours 7mins. Ran in Oxford and was hilly and really muddy in places, as well as having to wade through a flooded towpath! (18)

Monday - AM - 43 mins in Oxford (6.5)

             PM - 46 mins along canal (7.5)

Tuesday - AM - 35mins easy along canal (5.5)

              PM - 4 x 2k loop at Ladywell. Felt a bit fitter this week and 2k loops were 6.24ish (is actually a bit longer than 2k!) which isn't far off what I was doing when fully fit. (11)

Wednesday - 74mins steady to Regents Park and back (11.5)

Thursday - 90mins progressive run (30@6.30/30@6.00/30@5.10) Hard run but it's these that get me fit! Wind was in my face coming back and miles were 5.10-5.25 and some slow bits due to gates and bridges too. Still need to be a bot quicker but felt pretty strong at least. (15)

Friday - 51 mins steady @6.44 miling (7.5)

Saturday - 2 miles tempo (5.25, 5.09), then 3 x 2 hill loops (5.48, 5.58, 5.52), then 2 miles tempo (5.37, 5.08) all off 90secs. The hill was VERY steep and about 90secs long, with a 100m stretch along the top before the descent. Pretty tough! (11)

93.5 miles. Marathon training starts here! Have formulated my race and training plan which I'll say more about in my blog and the training is starting to be at the right volumes. Pace isn't quite quick enough yet but that will come. I hope...!
