Trainingsession 31st Jan- 6th Feb
Sunday - 1hours 57 @ 6.27 miling (18 miles)
Monday - AM - 48mins steady @6.34 miling (7.5)
PM - 60mins @6.40miling on roads to Regents Park. Too many people around so got annoyed with it all. (9)
Tuesday - AM - 40mins @ 7.07 miling (5.5)
PM - 8 x 1100m river runs at Ladywell. Felt much better this week. Could have done 10, but left it at 8. (3.20, 3.11, 3.17, 3.11, 3.18, 3.13, 3.17, 3.08) (12.5)
Wednesday - AM - 59mins @6.38 miling along canal (9)
PM - 56mins @6.15 miling on hills and mud. (9)
Thursday - 88mins with last 45mins at marathon effort. Had wind in my face on way back and had to run at 6.30am, so marathon pace was more like 5.30miling, but still a good workout. (14.5)
Friday - 51mins steady along canal @6.40miling (7.5)
Saturday - 3 x 12mins Kenyan hills on Hampstead Heath up a 90second hill. Wasn't massively steep but each rep was around 2 miles at 5.45miling or so. (10)
102.5 Feeling a bit better this week. Runs are starting to feel easy again and sessions feel more controlled and under control. Exended effort pace needs to be a bit quicker, but this sill come I'm sure.

Ben Posted on February 22nd, 2010Training in London
Hi, I am based a min or two run from Hampstead Heath and so do a lot of my training round there and also more centrally like Regents Park etc. Do all my running on my own and looking for people to train with...someone on eightlane website suggested yourself and that I contact you on here. Have been out of competitive running for a while but looking to get back into it and build to a marathon (and also back to XC). 30mins 10k / South of England Mens Team XC level standard when was competing but not in that shape currently (hoping to get back and beyond it).
guest Posted on February 13th, 2010Let me know if interested and I can drop you my email address or something? thks.
Food
Ok great thanks for the message, i would find it difficult to do that sort of interval training with that diet!... it gives me an idea though cheers i appreciate it.
Clive Posted on February 13th, 2010Food
Hi Clive,
Ben M Posted on February 10th, 2010I have 3 normal meals really, and graze a bit during the day. Bananas, bagels, cereal bars (not all of these every day!). I don't go overboard on fruit really - a couple items a day maybe? I'll try and get some juice in there too. I eat chocolate and biscuits too - so it's not all super healthy!
Diet
Thats some training you are doing there! just a quick one, what type of food do you eat during the day when your at work? is it just fruit, fruit, fruit? if i go for a long run in the morning it opens up the stomach for the whole day! some advice would be great.
Clive Posted on February 8th, 2010Thanks and the documentary was superb.
