Update
Hi fellow runners
It’s been quite this week in the land of running after the disappointment of finishing fourth again, but I have moved on to the next race in my plans which this week coming the Barcelona half marathon which I am looking forward to and would like to think I am in good shape to run 63/64 min if everything goes to plan e.g. weather, course but from what I have heard it is supposed to be flat ,I know the winner won it last year in 62 mins so there will be some good Athletes to race against which will hopefully pull me round.
I have got Nicola coming with me to the race there are two reasons: It is Valentines Weekend so I thought I would make the effort and bring the missus along otherwise I would probably have my bits cut off, so that’s the first reason the 2nd reason that we will probably not get a Holiday in till the end of the year so just to get her out of Luton.
Training this week has been very low key Coach decided to give me and Owain 5 days of easy running after the 15 k at parliament hills, which to be honest I wasn’t going to argue about since we haven’t had a easy week since the beginning of September, so it was just nice to go out and enjoy the running but I must admit my legs were still tied on wed, so decided to 30 min run and then go swimming on Friday and just do some lengths but I am not the most graceful of swimmers it is not that I cant swim it is just I look like I am drowning (technique) and I was getting in the way of these old folks who have there routine and don’t like anyone getting in the space ,so I do apologise if I got in you’re way all I can say is what to I bring Baby Deed along then that will cause a right stink.
Got back to session on Sat by doing 3k, 2k, 1k around a 5 k race course which is very hilly, session went alright still felt bit tied but the times were pretty good for the session, so into this week of training will be doing two sessions this week one on Tues and one on Thurs will be a low key session to keep me ticking over for the race on Sunday and I will throw a rest day in on the Sat to keep me fresh for the race on Sunday.
I am afraid that’s all that’s gone this week as I said a bit quite but next week I will be able to tell how the race went and every time I go away something stupid happens to me so I am sure something will go on thanks for reading I will do my blog next Monday as I don’t get back to the evening.
