Taking stock of life

Taking stock of life

Hi all hope everyone is fit and running well

Its been a mix sort of week running going to plan with the 5k track race on sat and 5 mile road race the following Friday .

Sessions have been a little bit sharper this week ready for the 5k,my coach been trying to get my legs moving by doing 6x30secs at the end of the sessions to stimulate the end of the race in my case some kind of sprint  ouch.

Keep you posted on how the race goes on the race blog

Had my Aunties funeral on wed who sadly past away it always makes me appreciate life, more when others are going though hard times and makes you glad of what we have, example like when trainings not going well or races don’t go to plan you just got to remember there is more to life and there is always the next session/race to put it right.

Keep safe people

                               Keep focused on you’re goals!!!!

Sprint sessions!

Re your end os sessions sprints!
We do 10x300m hill sessions (jog recovery down) followed by 3 x 100m sprints. Coach says it tests our ability to a fast race finish after tiredness and exhaustion.
Legs are smashed at the end, and we often end up collapsing with the pain!
The mandatory 15 minutes of gentle warm down recovery running is tough man!
This is normally done once every 2 weeks - Klller but effective when racing.
