5th March 2009, Still no signs of life!
Hello all, I was hoping that after almost four weeks of no running, I could give some more positive news on my health. That’s still not the case, as not feeling any better than a few weeks back, very frustrating as I know my body so well, and it’s still not right. I have a third lot of blood test tomorrow, which are to back up some a few weeks back. Maybe they will show something up, if not, next step might be a full body scan, to get some answers.
I would like to say a big thanks to all the kind words people have written wishing me a quick return to health. I really am grateful to all the support and will be first to say thanks when I’m back running super fast in the future! As for the person that said maybe I’m soft and it’s the weather, you’re welcome to come down and stay at mine house in Wales anytime in the year, and you can see if I didn’t run when the weather was not very good, I would run three times a year!
As for keeping myself busy, I’ve been Mr DIY again, as doing all the jobs I won’t have time for when back running again. I do really enjoy a trip to BNQ and then an afternoon with the paint brush, gives me my feeling of doing something constructive each day. I also have my Reebok job, which someone posted a question about. We are hopefully safe after some restructuring, and I have just come back from a hard day at the Reebok store in Canary Wharf, London. Reebok product is great, for us it’s about getting the awareness out and hopefully shoes on peoples’ feet.
Also I have been doing my coaching with University team at UWIC, still so disappointed that BUCS got cancelled as we had a really strong team. One of The students I’m coaching has just run a massive 3000m PB of 8:32 from 8:49, and is heading to Bucs next week. I would loved to have been there to watch, but it’s my stag do the night before, so will not be any shape to wake up and get to Sheffield in time!
So of course a ‘stag night’ means a wedding! Yes my wedding to my lovely fiancée Alex on April 11th, and could be the first wedding featured on Runnerslife! Really can’t wait and also the honeymoon in Las Vegas, so hopefully will be back running by then so I can enjoy the American food even more!
Cheers and will keep you all posted!
James
