Neil Speaight will leave RunnersLife at the end of February having been on the site since the start of 2009. Neil has been one of Britain's best 800m/1500m runners over the years having run 1.45 and 3.38, also breaking the 4minute mile barrier, first time in Boston USA. Neil has represented his country numerous times including last years European Championships making the 1500m final, he has been a great ambassador for his country, club and RunnersLife for the past 14months.
Having suffered an achilles injury which has troubled him for a few years it has only got worse and has struggled to do the training he would of liked. Now looking to focus on his career in Switzerland he will not have as much time for his training so has decided to call it a day on the website following his running. Neil will stilll be racing although maybe not on the track and as frequent but is still the current Captain of Belgrave Harriers.

RunnersLife wish him luck and would like to thank him for everything he has done for RunnersLife.
