Afternoon :)

Had a bit of a lie in this morning as I didn't have a morning run and didn't have to get up for work. My body however still woke me up at 7.30 so I got up and got a drink and got back into bed!!! Its freezing up here at the moment, the path outside my flat is covered in ice however today it must have warmed up a tiny bit because it was snowing/raining a little this morning. I definately prefer it to be dry and cold than wet and cold...

Over the weekend I was down in Birmingham for a training/coaching weekend with UKA where we all did a session on the grass behind the Alexander Stadium which was 2min, 4min, 6min, 8min, 6min, 4min, 2min however many people especially alot of us juniors changed the session to suit our needs and I personally did 2min, 4min, 6min, 8min, 4min, 4min. I felt strong throughout the session especially towards the end. Also it was a good social weekend, where I got to see some friends and relax. Whilst I was there the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix was on at the NIA and we all went to watch. I never realised how warm it got in an indoor arena and I was sitting down so I cant imagine how hot it must be running. Was a really good weekend and time went by really quickly :D Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend at the Nationals.

Whilst on the subject of the nationals, over the weekend Liz and I decided that I would make the Nationals my first race back much to my parents joy (not). I'm actually really looking forward to just getting back to racing so im not nervous at the moment. Ive set no expectations for myself but obviously you can't help wondering where you might come and what will happen but im just trying to forget that and just enjoy it and run as well as I can. Im hoping to see lots of people there either racing or spectating as it all helps with the atmosphere you come to expect from the National Champs. Good Luck to everyone :D

Am going to go and have physio/massage now and sort myself out so im ready for the weekend. I will write a report up after the races and im sure everyone will do good :) Fingers Crossed !!!
