at home with the family and 2 races...
Sorry its late...
Ive had alot on my mind this last week or so what with the Junior AAA's but also been busy at home seeing friends and family...
Ive been home a week already and have had fun whilst ive been back...The first night I was back I went for a meal with mum and a family friend whos husband has offered me some help in terms of support all the time im competing Internationally. (sooo massive thank you to both of them). We went to a fish restaurant...and guess what I ordered?..meat!! I apologise but the reason I did it was because I was racing in a few days and Im always careful about things like that as my stomach is pretty sensitive when im nervous about racing.
On Saturday I decided to go and watch the first day of the AAA's for a few hours which was good as it took my mind of the race and kept me busy instead of being at home doing nothing. That night it was my mums 50th birthday meal so my dad had arranged all the family and some friends to go to a restaurant, so it was really good seeing everyone and being able to relax, although I took my car and left about 10oclock so I could get to bed at a decent time before the race and I steered clear of fish :)
Sunday was the race....which as ive explained in the race report didnt go how I wanted it too, for a few reasons all of which are in my head and I have to get them sorted before the weekend if I want to avoid another duff result.. so im in the process of doing that this week before the weekend.
Early this week I had wanted to go and see friends and do stuff but I had to wait until a cheque had cleared as I had no money left... It finally did this on Wednesday so finally I could go and do something and see friends. I have sunburnt shoulders to prove it as it was very warm but worth it as it was a good day.
I have backed off on the training as such because of the 2 races. So ive just run once a day for 2 weeks and only one session last week and one this week which have both gone really well and should help boost my confidence as I know physically im in really good shape I just have to get my head to match my body and the results should follow. :)
Next race is Senior AAA's in Birmingham and this time over 5000m, so fingers crossed all goes well. Also good luck to everyone else racing there or anywhere else.. and Well Done to everyone who ran last weekend as there were some great results that I saw.
And... A massive thankyou to Heather and Wall for your support over the years and the future...
......x
