Morning :D

This week has been good, completed another 80mile week without any breakdown ... so thats good!! This week im going to increase it again, but only slightly, so shall see how my body handles that.

Me and Liz reviewed my gym work this week, and we discovered that due to tearing my calf, I seem to have lost some of the strength and stability in my ankle, so I have restarted the exercises I was doing when injured, but also start a few other exercises such as wobble board exercises to strengthen it back to where it was before.

As im guessing most people know by now that I went to watch the BUCS cross country as it was in Stirling, which is just over an hour away from here, so I went training in the morning and then straight to the races.... However there were 3 girls in the car and we got pretty lost through stirling and when we did finally get to the course we had completely missed the lads A race and saw the finish of the Girls race and the whole of the Lads B race.So that was a complete fail, but it was nice seeing everyone again in a much more relaxing environment than if I was racing. Me, Jo, Eilish and Laura then managed to somehow blag a room from Birmingham University (Thank you Bud :D ) ... So we stayed on for the afterparty, first time ive been out since Dublin afterparty and last for a while I think :D . Well Done everybody though and thank you Birmingham Team for making me feel welcome :D

I would just like to say a massive thank you to the John Taylor Foundation for their support in helping me fund travel around the country for races, physiotheraphy and other expenses associated with athletics. The foundation was set up in memory of a former young athlete called John Taylor....

"John Taylor was a young international athlete who died tragically from a heart condition known as cardiomyopathy. The John Taylor foundation for young athletes was created with the aim of raising awareness of this condition, and assisting young athletes.
It is a registered charity, 1101008." Please visit their website

Just a bit of race news for people, I have pencilled in my first race back as the English National Road Relays in Birmingham on the 17th of April. I know its a way off, but I think im going to put a block of mileage in for a few weeks and try and get in good shape for this and the summer.

Thanks. Bubi xxx

Wow, mega mileage..... i'm proper jealous. Sounds like all the work going into returning from injury is going to bring you back stronger than before.
Good luck with the next stage of training.
