A week in the life of TW12 HPC
Hi, Happy New Year to all, lets make it a good one. A quick thankyou to Si and his 'back room staff' for putting this exciting website together.
Over the New Year I had a mini training camp with my training group. It lasted just under a week in total. I stayed over at the 'TW12 High Performance Center', you might have heard of it?. If not look it up!. It's owned by Skins (Mike Skinner) who is in our group along with the usual suspects such as Badders (Andy Badderly) and Gamma (Neil Gamester).
After my normal running on Monday I travelled down and joined up with the lads on Tuesday morning for a track session. It was tuff let me tell you!!. After, it was back to Badders for some 'Wii' action and rest before the second run of the day. Wednesday was New Years Eve and being like minded people, and as we all had competitions coming up, we decided to go out for a quiet meal at Anthony Worrall Thompson's steak house. It was awsome!!. Then it was back to Badders for some more 'Wii' action and to toast the New Year with a cuppa rosey lea.
The rest of the week was pretty much normal untill Saturday. Our whole group used the Bushy Park 5k Time Trial in our session. We were to race it first, then do the loop again at threshold. Considering it was -3 when we were running I was pretty pleased to finish second in 14.44.
Finally we had quite an eventfull long run the next day. Firstly in our 90 mins we saw Gordon Ramsey in Richmond Park. He didn't seem to happy when we caught him and dropped him while giving him some banter. Ha he loved it!!. We then looped into Wimbeldon Common (I looked for some wombles but couldn't find any) and back.
So that was the camp now back home and back to work.
Thanks for the read and I'll update soon.
Drapes
