Trainingsession Week Ending 19th April 2009
Monday 13th April: Run 1 hour with Dad and Kati on the bike. Was a beautiful day and felt pretty strong. Put in 10 mins hard after 40 mins which went really well so happy, and calf not hurting
Tuesday 14th April: Tried out the leg on the track 3 x mile off 30 seconds.(in flats) 4.56/4.46/4.34 Was a really nice night. Not that quick, but good to try the leg out under a bit more pressure and no real problems. Happy to be able to run quicker for each one off not much rest. On own.
Wednesday 15th April: Run 60 mins easy. Felt a bit ropey, leg fine just felt tired so took it easy
Thursday 16th April: Track 5 x 800/200 (in flats) 30 secs rest between the 800 and 200 then 2 miins. 2.17/28, 2.16/28, 2.16/27, 2.16/27, 2.15/27. Was very windy, cold and wet. On won. Felt ok though, although 800#s not that quick, but was a battle into the wind. Didn´t want to go crazy so near the weekend. Calf seems fine now, although I am still on anti-inflammatory´s. Happy enough though.
Friday 17th April: Run 30 mins easy with James Kelly once we got to the hotel in Birmingham.
Saturday 18th April: Run 12 mins easy in the morning before breakfast.
National 12 Stage-leg 10. 14.33. Pretty happy with that considering training has been intermittent last two weeks or so. Fastest on the stage and 10th fastest overall for the day, so although not as fast as last year it will do!
Sunday 19th April: Run 1 hour easy with some of the guys who stayed up in Birmingham. Around Sutton Park, was really good and really enjoyed the company for once!
