Trainingsession Week Ending 1st March 2009

Monday 23rd February:            Run 60 mins.  Was going to do a tempo for 10-15 mins but legs felt a little heavy so just ran the time.

Tuesday 24th February:     am: Run 35 mins.  Legs felt heavy and bit lethargic but ok

                               pm: Track 5 x 600 off 3 mins (1.28, 1.30, 1.29, 1.29, 1.26)  Struggled to be honest.  Wanted to run much quicker but it was tough, legs very heavy and just had no real pick up, but has been a tough few days.

 

Wednesday 25th February: Run 55 mins.  Took it nice and easy as legs were heavy last night and didn't go quite as well as I had hoped, but thats ok, rather this week!

Thursday 26th February:    am: Run 30 mins.  Felt better and a little more zip in the legs so happy.

                               pm: Track did 1 x 600 in 1.30 then the young lads (well some of them!!) were doing 5 x 200 off 5 mins.  Thought it would be good to have company, a min or two longer rest than I would have wanted but great to run in a group so the benefits far better for me.  Had 2 1/2 mins after the 600 then (25.4, 24.5, 24.8, 25.0, 25.3)  Was pretty pleased.  Still some work to be done on the speed and the guys just rinse me over the first 50!  Been ages since I did fast stuff and the old nausea was setting in!

Friday 27th February:       Run 65 mins.  Took it nice and easy due to last night.  Could feel it in the legs so just held back

Saturday 28th February:   Run 17 mins out then turn and hard back in 15.  Felt good.

Sunday 1st March:     Was very busy so just one run of 30 mins after I had dropped the girlfriend off at the airport!
