Trainingsession Week Ending 2nd Aug 2009
Monday 27th July:
30 mins easy. Incredible to think how tough an easy 30 can feel like! Feels like I have zero fitness. It was baking hot and that probably didn't help, but only felt ok for about 15 mins then really struggled. Still thats the way it always is for me for a few weeks, and then something will click and I will start feeling good again, just hope it hurries up!
Tuesday 28th July:
Run 30 mins easy. Was hot and sunny, felt terrible, really lethargic, although marginally better than yesterday!!
Wednesday 29th July:
Weather was fantastic so got out on the bike for 2 1/2 hours. Cycled from here to Thun and around some of the lake, was amazing and took some photos you can see on the blog. Felt good and starting (I think) to cycle faster and be more comfortable. Can't wait for the Garmin to arrive so I will no for sure the speed. Have never really needed one for running, as know roughly the pace I am going, and when doing rep work it is measured so not really needed, but it will be interesting to know my speed on the bike
Thursday 30th July:
Run 40 mins, was ok for about 30 mins and then started to struggle and feel really bad, but it will get easier. Was hot and sunny.
Friday 31st July:
Day Off. I know I am not doing much at the moment, but the last thing I want to do is make things worse before they get better, so taking my time. After all I have nothing to be fit for now, so effectively starting my winter training.
Saturday 1st August:
40 mins steady. The weather was incredible today, which given it is a bank holiday was great. Loads of people out running, I just took it steady and felt much better then the last few runs which have felt ok for only about half before feeling tired and faint. No sure problems today and could have run for longer, but just keeping it slow and steady.
Sunday 2nd August:
40 mins steady. Has been raining hard since last night but still very warm. Kati came on the bike which really helped. Ran about 2mins quicker for the same route than yesterday, so starting to make a little progress. Still slow though.
