Trainingsession Week Ending 5th April 2009
Monday 30th March: Run 65 mins steady around the forest, was great weather and really good, felt pretty good although calf sore.
Tuesday 31st March: Run 60 mins steady in the forest, again great weather. Just took it easy as again calf sore, although not too bad.
Wednesday 1st April: Missed flight last night so still in Switzerland, did 35 mins steady run followed by 6 x 1k in forest on marked undulating course. Averaged 3 mins, nothing special but happy enough except calf really hurting now, not sure what it is and a little concerned!
Thursday 2nd April: Took the day off because leg hurting and flew home anyway so good day to have off.
Friday 3rd April: Leg is annoying me, is sore but nothing that I would usually stop running from. Did 1 hour with 2 x 5 min efforts. First 30 odd mins was tight and a little sore but nothing too bad, just when tried to run hard that it flared up and was very painful.
Saturday 4th April: Day off because of leg. Was planning on training through the Southern Relays but this week has been a bit hit and miss and in quite a bit of pain.
Sunday 5th April: Southern Road Relays. Did an extra long warm up and really tried to stretch the leg out. Seemed to help for the first 3 or 4 minutes, but then it really started to hurt and then was in a lot of pain for the remaining time running, still solid enough and will now rest until it is sorted.
