Trainingsession 11/5/09-24/5/09
Monday- 30 mins am easy. 30 mins pm steady with core. Felt fine
Tuesday- Track session by myself. 6x800m off 200m jog alternating easy/hard then 3x200m off 200m jog. Did 2:16, 2:09, 2:15, 2:09, 2:15, 2:06, 26, 26, 25. Was quite windy but felt quite strong.
Wednesday- 50 mins. Quite tired.
Thursday- 2x4x200m off 200m jog. Did 29, 28, 27, 28, 28, 27, 26, 30. Did the session in flats and worked a bit but was still relaxed. Because we did the seventh one in 26 Steve said to do the next one in 30 because of the race.
Friday- 42 min. A bit tired
Saturday- 25 min jog. Didn't feel great.
Sunday- Loughborough International 3k. Ran 8:37, rubbish race. Blew up after a 4:30 mile.
43 mile week
Monday- 40 mins easy with Wilko, Loz Walker, Carl Smith and Ollie Ziff. Easy run.
Tuesday- Run of 41 mins by myself. Averaged 6:32 miling and average heart rate of 149 bpm. Felt ok.
Wednesday- 70 mins easy. Met other freshers for a big group run. Left them after 60 and ran a bit quicker on the last 10 to get home. Averaged 7:12 miling and 139 bpm. There was tension in the air as Jo Townsend and Loz Walker had a disagreement. Had a quiet giggle with the other guys as they went at it. There were a few awkward minutes after that.
Thursday- Did run early in the morning and bumped into Wilko on my way round. Ran really easy with him and averaged 7:57 miling and 126 bpm.
Friday- 40 mins at 6:47 miling and 138 bpm. Felt quite good.
Saturday- Track session in flats. Trained with Salter, Tovey, Townsend and Ben Craddick. They did 5x600m but I did 4 of them then some 200's after. Did 1:31, 1:31, 1:30, 1:33, 26, 26. Maria came upto me after the third rep and said I was running too fast so to slow down. So I did the last one with Townsend and just sat and kicked with 100 to go. I apologised afterwards for using him. Great session. On all of them the first 200m was the slowest and then we picked up on the final lap. Nice to see I have the change of pace I was previuosly lacking. Did 30 min easy in the evening.
Sunday- 60 mins easy. 7:25 miling and 136 bpm. Was a bit tired.
