Another good week

Just a quick update on how the week has gone.

Started off well with some tough weights and core that our strength and conditioning and that led on to a pretty tough session on the Tuesday with Mccormick and Moses. We all worked well together as the session was tailored to suit each of us, so we all knew what reps we had to do.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were just easier days due to the tough session on Tuesday and another coming on the Saturday which I got in the bag pretty well, again working well with Lewis and Nick.

After the session I dashed off to the North West for a new Nike project I was invited too along with a number of top athletes from all round the country including fellow RunnersLife athlete Mark Draper. The project titled is 'Nike Ambassadors' and it's all about becoming the face of Nike in my local community and help raise the profile of Nike as a specific running brand; which it started out as rather than a fashion brand as its commonly perceived as these days, by offering insights into the products they offer. I am being supplied with kit from them for my own use and I will also be giving out new products to the local athletes for a trial period from time to time on Nike's behalf so I can gain feedback on the new innovative ideas they come up and feed them back to the Nike Running department so they can look to improve future products to suit runners.

I feel privileged to be included in such a project and I am looking forward to helping out Nike in the coming months.

The week ended with a group run with all the other Nike Ambassadors early Sunday morning around the Leigh countryside which was very very muddy but it was a good end to a hard week for me.

Also this week i've booked up my warm weather training trip with the rest of my training group. We're off to Vilamoura on the 31st March for up to a month. I'm really looking forward to getting away and putting some sessions together in the sun especially after last years disappointment of snapping my ankle 3 weeks before heading out. So fingers crossed everything will go well this year in the run up to Portugal and I can get some hard work in for the build up to my track season.
