Easy week
After the weekend I got out Monday morning and felt a little tightness in both my calfs/achillies, so I didn't run Monday evening so I didn't aggravate them. I warmed up for Tuesday's session still with a little bit of tightness so spent some extra time loosening up.
I got in another good quality session with Nick and the calfs/achillies both felt fine. I got my massage Tuesday afternoon in my calfs pretty deep and ran again Tuesday evening. I was really feeling the effects of the massage on Tuesday evenings run so I cut it short as a precaution as i'm not going to gain much by doing the final 15minutes.
Today I opted to run in the water to give the calfs/achillies a break as they were still pretty tight from last night. Hopefully this has done the trick so I can get a few more runs and some strides in before the weekends race.
