Snow snow snow!
Well the snow has brought a bit of novelty into my training so far this week! I've been feeling fine since the race on Sunday, nowhere near as bad as last week. I was hoping my achillies wouldn't seize up on me and so far so good, I put this down to running in decent racers. I used the Lunar racers for the first time and I must say they're very comfortable.
Yesterday the snow had really come down by the time I got up, late as I was wreaked after Sunday. I went out for a run around campus in the thick snow and it was over my ankles! I stayed on the grass as it was a little icy under the snow on the roads and paths and didn't fancy a fall!
The snow kept coming down so about 4 hours later I found myself out for another run with the lads! I guess it was just an excuse to get up the outwoods in Loughborough to see how deep it was!
Last night our morning session was cancelled so today was a steady run instead. Again today when i got up there was still loads of snow about but once I got out the door I realised it was like being on an ice rink so I got on the canal and it seemed ok on there so did my long run all off road.
Today the inside 2 lanes were cleared down at the track so I had a jog down tonight to see what it was like underfoot. Some of Gandy's lot were doing a session and it seemed ok so tomorrow mornings session looks like it'll be fine to do now providing there is no adverse weather tonight! fingers crossed!
