Welcome Back

So RunnersLife is back, it's great news! Just when I thought the site was completely down and out the boys go and pull some strings and bring it back. Thank you to them and thank you to all the readers as you guys certainly made an impact on their decision as we didn't realise we had such a strong following.

Well I sat this afternoon watching the Tour De France and spent a good 90minutes writing on here bringing everyone up to speed on what been going on in my life this last month and guess what, 'due to a technical error' my blog didn't post and I lost everything. This time I am going to keep it short and sweet as i'm not loosing another one!

Training has been going fantastic these last few weeks, I've had a couple of tiny injury worries, but I think that's just part and parcel of being a runner I guess. Having a great physio and top class massage has kept me in once piece though. I got the huge bonus of a silver in the National champs last week and I was rewarded with PB too which was just as good! I now know there's so much more to come after the way the race was ran, i've just got to find the right race to bring it out now.

I'll get some backdated training posted up and make a second attempt soon at going over the last few weeks in more detail oh and a race report for the AAA's too to give my version of how the race panned out as I gather not much was seen on the tv.

I'm off for another run now, so i'll update soon.

Ryan

Comments On "Welcome Back"

I would echo ryans comments really on the training side. I think the training page is an outline of the week and most of the guys will talk about certain sessions in more detail on blogs (ryan did this a lot while in France). Also I am sure if someone just asked the guys they would elaborate on the session in question.

I will usually put recovery, rep time etc..but sometimes I might just forget in trying to get the training up in a hurry.

cheers

Feedback request

So Ryan is your coaches secrecy order to keep the competition on their toes (so to speak).
Your race reports do go into more detail and are an interesting read into the life of an elite runner, which I suppose is what this site is all about.
Cheers

thanks for the comment, i did spot that yesterday too.
i personally and I can't speak for the other lads here, but i'll always try and let you know if i'm running easy, steady or quick on runs then when it comes to sessions i'd like to put more detail into it but it's at my coaches request that I keep rep times to myself and i can understand that fully.
I will always go through key sessions in my blog to let yous know how i've felt during it and whether it was a good one or not.
My training logs may look on the thin side but i do like to put more effort into the race reports and blogs and i'd like to think they' make a more interesting read rather than just a few numbers from a session.

Comment for consideration!

Ryan,
Agree its great that Runnerslife is back- true its been missed!
Just an observation on 8lane that may help the guys on the team to make a few improvements:

'I took a glance at some of the training blogs once and they didn't seem that details which meant they weren't really that useful. Maybe I should have more but a lot of it was

AM 40 mins
PM 40 mins

AM 10 x 400
PM 25 mins

etc

No pace explanations, no rep times, no description of how they felt...'
