World Champs

It is well under way but I have seen very little so far. Like SkyBet says 'It matters more when there's money on it" I now think "It matters more when I know someone in it!" and with the football season starting up I have been loving some of that especially as I wont have sky in my new house for a while. It would have been great if Sp8y had made the champs or Draper for example like at the European indoors or the lads at the world cross....couple of years ago I txt wicks good luck and Id be watching with a cup of tea and then as soon as he came 2^nd and qualified he txt asking for the Liverpool score before being interviewed on Sky.

This also leads me onto marketing of our sport, I didn't even know it the World Champs started till my dad told me as I didn't see any adverts for it or anything and it is the same for the British League or BMC events. It is very rare a random will come and watch our sport unless related (or friends) of someone racing. That said events like the BMC in Cardiff are really good and if people knew about them and how cheap it is, in British League case it's free, I am sure more would watch regularly. I dragged Lee's friend along to watch and to keep Lee company.... I had also thought I could get a load of them (her friends) in their bikinis shouting for me on the side of the track but weather was rubbish!

Well another week gone and another week to go, sometimes I feel like a hamster stuck on a wheel!
