Rubbish Weekend!

Everything that could go wrong seemed to the last couple of days! Even when I tried to have a bath after the race the plug was half the size of the hole....I gave up then.

So on Saturday when I hit the M4 to head for Watford everything was going fine, well legs were a bit tired but apart from that I was good to go. Matt Janes had txt to say he wasn't running so I thought with me not being on top form I might grab 3rd place and a 67/68 half time. Hotel close to Heathrow was good and after a run and sat in the pool for 5minutes to ease the legs, a pizza express then went down great before an early night ready for the race on Sunday.

This is where it all went wrong! Il leave it to my race report but lets just say I cant ever see me running the Watford Half Marathon again in my life......if your thinking of doing it, think again and save your money.

After the race and probably the grumpiest person in Watford I just wanted to get out of the town as soon as possible. A couple of text's first from Mark Pollard and then Phil Wicks cheered me up a little bit to know Belgrave won the team and Alsager 5mile and that Phil won the race, also knowing Mark was having a bad time too (getting tripped at the race) did actually make me feel better!

I was stopping at Bristol on the way back to do a photo shoot for Saucony on Monday morning but that's easier said than done, traffic was murder and by the time I got there I thought my hamstrings would snap. I wasn't helped when the Hotel wanted £7.50 to park for the night!! Don't they know there's a credit crunch going on.

Bristol is actually a nice city but when I woke up it was snowing, no this wasn't good as the women models were stuck in London so it was all called off for another day, not even an extra hour in bed could cheer me up!

I back home now and hoping for some better times (just had delivery so nice things so it's looking good).
