Leah

I have a new favourite Sharp! Maria and Steve are great but little Leah is a cutie. With parents with good running genes and a godfather in Phil Nicholls I'm going to the bookies to put a tenner on a future GB athlete.

On Saturday I went to hotel Sharpy to visit the new addition to the family, I am currently injured (more on that later) so it was a good opportunity to go. Lee was desperate for a cuddle off little Leah so off we went with quite a few presents, more than I got for my birthday! Sharpy was at Liverpool looking after Nick but Leah was more than enough as she burped, fluffed and slept her way through the day only waking up for food or cuddles.

Sharpy was back at 4pm so we had chance to catch up a little and have dinner together before we had to get back for an engagement party. Maria was amazingly organised and back in shape after only 1 month being a mum which was very impressive and Sharpy has taken to being a dad like duck to water.

So my injury....I did something in Bridgend or Mansfield I think because since then my foot has been really achy in the morning, and getting worse each day. Last week after the XC race and then Tuesday's session it was really bad so I decided to go to the physio. It was bad news and so sore she said it might be a number of things but could mean a while out of action! Anyway I had some treatment and decided to give it till today off and then go back. Good news is its not as bad as first thought but still not great. I can't do any sessions or anything for a couple of weeks and have a lot of work to do on it but with all that fingers crossed I might be able to race in a 2 or 3 weeks. So every Monday and Wednesday I will be at the physio and for the rest of the week building up the run as the foot allows, she is the best physio in my opinion so I'm in good hands. Right I better go to do my exercises or she will kill me!!
