New Foot!
Warning: To all athletes out there, do not put the new addition of Football Manager on the Iphone/Itouch as you will lose days of training to the world of signings, training up the next KaKa and chasing titles! I thought it would kill those moments waiting for trains or toilet trips at home (never been a newpaper man!), I had Lee calling up yesterday though as it turned out I was in there for hours....well when your on a winning streak and Torres is banging in the goals you cant just stop.
Right then back to actual running (when not playing Football Manager), and I am bloody running! the Injection has worked so far. I say so far as there is still things I have to do and be careful with things but another trip to the physio showed swelling has gone down a huge amount and no soreness there any more. The wierd thing is just waking up and being pain free! I still use the hot water bottle before running, Ice after running, lots of stretching and little drills to do and I wont be able to just do 100miles and 3 sessions a week.
I plan to sit down with George (coach although havnt done much together as I got injured straight away) next week and go through races, training and what exactly we will be targeting and what will be training races etc,. That said it wont be any time soon, more likely the road season in the autumn and maybe cross country in the winter but would be good to do a few tracks races, even if it's just the one 3k race with Matt Almond as he sneaked past me last year when I was boxed in and I can't let it go!
So I am a bit happier now and I think I may even pop down to the session with the guys Tuesday but I know the first month or so might be tough old work but the upside is I wont be taking out any of the reps at the front on the windiest track in the world. It has been a very long time out and I am ready to crack on with the dream now, next time my foot aches I will stop and not carry on racing for months!

Glad " the foot " is on the road to full recovery, i'll be keeping an eye on the training blogs watching out for some reports of blistering pace.
