Injured

Its pitch black, it's raining, I'm strapped up (ankle), and I'm wearing my compression calf tights and breathing like a fat man! So I thought I was a little crazy and then all of a sudden I hear an ice cream van....ok I'm not crazy, he is!! Who the hell would want an ice cream tonight!

This week I have been able to run once a day a little bit after last weeks injury, Physio said to do a little bit rather than come back stale but listen to the body. I have to go at nights for a few reasons, I'm running like a woman so don't want to many seeing me, if I do have to stop I can hide in the darkness, my foot is better at night through movement in the day and because today I was working!

I think the foot has improved and like most athletes all day I am thinking "does that normally feel like that?!" or "Am I walking like I normally would?!" I am a bit frustrated but there's not a lot I can do really, more physio next week so fingers crossed I might be pain free in a couple of weeks which would be great.

Like other coaches I suppose mine is also a bit frustrated after planning the winter and all the training and now its all out the window, I met up with George on Thursday and had a good chat with his last words "Just make sure you get rid of it before you start pushing again, there are a lot of worse times to be injured than early January!".

With no running there is no controversy this week, sorry!
