Home town

This week has put my home town in the spotlight with the plane crash of two planes over Kenfig sand dunes (my training routes). I am staying in Penarth this week otherwise I might of been running over the dunes at the time of the crash, it is now cornered of which cuts on a lot of the training trails so lucky I'm not there really.

So back to my training and with a Recovery week and try and give the body a rest before another 3 tough weeks I took Wednesday off to relax, on Tuesday and Thursday though I carried on with interval Sessions. Tuesday was a really short one which with tired legs form last block I struggled to get moving and had to grind out a decent session which ended up pretty good.

Thursday I again went to Neath after work to do 2 x 600m, then run a kilometre easy-ish as recovery and then another 2 x 600m (kilometre) and then lastly another 2 x600m. The recovery in-between the 600m reps were 2minutes 30seconds. Again I didn't feel sharp but still turned out a decent track session and in the chilly rain it was hard to get the legs going.

Plan for next few days is relax with the 5k race on the Saturday, main priority is to be feeling good by Monday because if I'm not then it could be a very long 3 weeks following as it wont get an easier than this week!
