The rain is here!
Only me!
Hello all, reporting here from EL Droitwich.
Nicholls you lucky bugger! its pissing down here and it took me 2:30 hours to get home after a long day in the office with the boss. I Still managed to get a 1 hour run in with Maria along side on the bike for company, although I needed to stop 3 times. Once to help a dog find its house after it nearly got splatted, once to put the chain back on the bike for Maria after it came off, and then once to pull the chain off the bike after Maria broke it in half 3 miles from the house. So I ran along pushing the bike up the hills and then pushing Maria and the bike when we were on the flat which would have been allot easier when she was 8 stone, rather than the 9 stone she is pushing now. Still we did have a laugh after I spat my dummy out a few times.
Apart from that its been another okish week after a good run on Saturday at Manchester in the 5k. Pretty pleased with the time after not finishing a 5k in the last 4 attempts and beating Jonesy was cool, although we were both given the same time, we both know I won. So I headed off to St Mary's on Wednesday for the 3k in pretty good spirits, but after a 3 1/2 hour journey I felt really rubbish and knew I was on for a bad one after 2 laps. I ran faster than I did at Loughborough so it was not a complete disaster, but 8:19 is pretty crap when you have ran 8:02. I still hope to run Watford BMC next week even though I know a PB is pretty far off.
Goolab or Goolaq as Brendon Foster calls him has been running really well and has ran 2 PB 800's in the space of 5 days. He Still is waiting on his blood test results so I will be keeping him training as low key as I can until we get the all clear, or find out that he has some dirty virus after kissing all the birds.
Maria is doing fine and we have booked up to go and see her parents in Ireland during August. We have booked the ferry as Maria won't be able to fly which means Bruno and Sharky won't be locked in the shed for 2 weeks as they can come along in the car(well Bruno can). We have already thought of a few names - Dannii/Emily for a girlie and Ryan(not after Mcleod) for a boy - that's as far as we have got. Maria chucked my favoruite Fernando straight out the window!
Anyway
Train hard and keep safe
