Alsager 5

Alsager 5 - 17th in 24:27, and not 18th as results suggest.

So this my first race in a long time and to be fair it showed. I felt ok going through the first mile in 4:32, and then 2 miles in 9:18. But then I started to feel a bit leggy. I was in the group with Norman, Buckley and a few others before they started pushing on. I kept going until the end and ended up running 24:27 which I was a little down about, although this was the same time I ran last year. Since running 23:40 on the old course I have never got near breaking 24 on the new course and always thought it may be a tad long, and with Norman and Williams getting the course at 5:09 I might be right.....who knows. Still at least it was a race, and I need plenty more of those in the next few month's.
