Alsager 5 Mile
Hi all
It has been a cracking week for me training wise, really enjoyed the track session and the tempo was great. Run along with 'Gooooolab' for the first 4 laps and carried on for one more. We where only meant to run at 5:05 pace but both felt pretty good, so just cracked on. Running the Alsager 5 this weekend and hope to be in the new Brooks flats which look great along with the spikes....

Brooks are doing a top job in designing the best looking shoes, along with the most comfortable. I will also be receiving some of the new kit, and will be showing it of over the coming weeks. If you would like any info on any of there gear please just grab me at a race or email me on maria_stephen@sharps96.freeserve.co.uk, I will be happy to help.
This week will be just once a day with a couple of hard session before Sunday. I really hope the weather will be better than the windy day we had last year, at least I live allot nearer to the race venue. Really need to decide this week if I will be running the AAA'S, don't feel as sharp as I have done before the indoors, so may run a 2k time trial and if I dip under 5:20 will run. I have the Armagh 5k 4 days after the indoors so will be looking forward to that.
I maybe look to go to Portugal in April. If you're planning on a trip give us a shout and let me know when you are going, would be good to meet up with a few guys for some sessions etc...... I was thinking of Monte Gordo as it's a wicked place for long runs and the track is only a mile or so away.
