It's Back!
Its back!
I would like to echo what most of the lads have said and praise Jonesy and the boys for getting the site back - well done lads.
There are some strict rules this time round - no swearing, no kissing, no spelling mistakes - I think these are a load of bolocks.
I on the other hand have finally seen some light at the end of the tunnel. I approached Lindsay Dunn a few weeks back for some help and he has agreed to take me on which I was chuffed with. So after 2 weeks of easier training I lined up at Solihull (see race report) and although things ended with me rolling around on the floor I felt pretty good with 450 to go and surely would have run a big seasons best. Looking back now I was defiantly banging too many hard sessions and trying to race which clearly did not work, you would think at 33 although (I know I only look 23) I would know better.
Next.......
I was going to run the 5k Dave Norman is sorting next week, but we have decided to leave the 5k for a while and maybe run a few 1500's and then see how I feel before Cardiff BMC. I will then train for some road races and hopefully peak at the AAA's 10k and National road relays. After that the there will be some easy running to get use to the new arrival which is due on the 28th October.
Goolab ran a smart race at Solihull, sitting back and then running a swift last lap to run a PB of 3:52. I'm hoping he will get a faster race at Watford and then Cardiff in his attempt to break 3:50 which would be a great achievement after his blood problems. He is still after a bird so please email me some pictures and I will forward the best one's to him.
