Nationals are coming!
Relay victory.................
Another great win for us on Sunday at the Southern relays, although on a personal note a pretty average run by me. I seem to be training really well but just can't convert it to racing. I also seem to be very short of breath lately, so I made an appointment to see the doctor and came out with a inhaler and a piece of paper for a chest x-ray. The doctor seems to think I may have a mild case of asthma and gave a pump to try out, and along with a small cyst I need cutting out of my head it was a pretty crap day, although I did manage a 70 min run.
Last 5 days training have gone really well and I may even hit a record week.
Monday - 70 steady
Tuesday - 4*1 mile on the track - 4:41,4:40,4:34,4:40 - pretty good session in crap weather
Wednesday - 40 in the morning and 60 with Milesy in the afternoon
Thursday - I ran 30 in the morning and 35 in the afternoon with some sprints in the middle
Friday - one run of 75
Saturday - 2 mile, 2 mile, 1 mile with Nick and Milesy - 9:28, 9:20, 4:40 PM - 30 with Nicholls
National relays...................
Our team seems to be holding together and on paper should go quite well. It would be great to get in the medals again, but Newham, Aldershot, Leeds and Tipton(if Nicholls don't run) will all be hard to beat. I then hand my captaincy over to Sp8y, although we all know I will be very hard to replace.
Other news.........................
Maria has another scan on Wednesday and we also pick our new family wagon up on Thursday - exciting stuff.
Always
