Trainingsession Training 10th January - 16th January

M- 10 mile run from home in the evening.
T- Evening session. Warm up, 8 x 3mins off 1 min jog, warm down.  Was in a rush as I had an appointment at the physios.  Session went very well and hit them all hard.  With warm up and down ran 10 mile in 55mins 53 secs.  Missed my physio appointment as I ran out of time and just could not phyically fit everything in.
W- 6 mile am. 11 mile pm from Sale Harriers.
T- 6 mile am.  Evening run from work as I had a late Govs meeting to stop back for.  Set off and ran out in one direction for 5 mile and straight back the same way.  Way out all up hill, way back all down hill. 10.17 mile in 60 mins.
F- 6 mile am.  6 mile pm.
S- Session in Heaton Park.  Warm up 2.5 miles.  Session should have been 5 x 1mile off 2 mins jogs.  Did the first three ok, but quads have been sore since earlier in the week and the long run downhill on Thursday wont have helped them.  Stopped at three reps and then did 2x800m.  Hopefully the legs will recovery over the next few days ready for my Tuesday night session. 2.5 mile warm down.  Evening run, 6 mile steady.
S- long Sunday run.  Had to get up and get out as it was Kadi's third birthday.  Didn't want to be out running when she woke up and then I would miss her wanting to open her presents.  So got up at 4.30am and had some breakfast before starting my run at 4.50am.  Did 20 miles in 2 hours 1 min.  Happy with my run. All on road.  Some good climbs throughout the run and very windy.  Rest of day sepnt opening presents with Kadi and having a little tea party in the afternoon.

Weekly total- 101.17 mile.

Pleasing week.  Happy to be back up at 100 miles +.  Next week should build on this and hopefully the legs will recover and the week wont be as busy!

Last sunday I had two of them little boxes of cereals Kelloggs make. Can't be sure which two as I have been having two each morning! Ate them as soon as I got up. I also had a cup of tea and a glass of orange cordial. I took two Shotz gels with me, had one at 8 mile and one at 15 mile.

what did have for breakfast on Sunday before your long run?? Out the door 20 minutes after is unbelievable! :) Do have water stops on route when doing a 20+ mile run??
