Trainingsession Training 14th Feb - 20th Feb
M- 6 mile am, 10 mile pm. Ran on my own from Sports City. Felt good and relaxed.
T- 6 mile am, 10 mile pm. Did my 10 mile from Sports City and ran it hard. Did 10 x 1min efforts within it off 1 min recovery. Felt ok. Can't work out what to wear when running at the moment. I either wear too much and sweat away, or wear to little and freeze!
W- 6 mile am, 10 mile pm from Wythenshawe Park.
T- 14.20 mile pm. Ran a lot of it off road and got beat by the light. Ran to Dovestones and back via Greenfield and Mossley. Felt good.
F- 6 mile am, 6 mile pm. And the half term holiday begins!
S- No National XC for me. Whether you agree or disagree with my reasons for not running the National XC I didn't do it. After a difficult week a few weeks ago I had just steady run for most of the week. My coach set me the session of the Heaton Park Park Run and then 6 x the 800m loop we have in the park. Not sure if it is 800m but we have used it for the last 10 years so know what times we should be running. Park Run went ok. 15.20 for 5k. Won the Park Run in a CR but looking at the CR I knew someone in the race today would break it. Joe Bailey set the early pace for the first mile and then I took it on up the hill to Heaton Hall. Heaton Park is not flat before you knock the times! Round the Hall and back down to the boating lake via the big puddles at the back of the lake. Just managed to hold Joe off. He finished in 15.22. Then the 6 x 800m Did the first one and had to stop to throw my breakfast up. Don't usually eat ceral before a race but did do today as I was using it for training. After the first rep was disruppted for being sick the other 5 reps went as well as I could expect. Pleased with the session. 12 mile total formorning. 6 mile pm.
S-18.53 mile. Set off at 6.55am all on my own. Had a route planned out provisionally and stuck to it on the whole. Wanted to run steady off road and to take in some climbs, but nothing to steep to come down. Route is uploaded to Garmin Connect and there is a link on Facebook. LOve running round the area I live in. Didn't see many people out in the first hour of the run.
Weekly total- 110.73 miles.
Pleased wit my weeks training. Starting to hit more sessions as the week goes on and looking to build on this next week. Next week I am off work for the half term break. Have a little bit of school work to do but the rest of the time will be spent playing with Kadi, training and getting some good rest.

I see you usually have a 6 mile morning run; I saw it in a previous blog post earlier. Do you think the AM run helps you recover from your harder runs? Would a short morning run benefit someone on lower mileage ie. 50mpw?
