Trainingsession Training 14th June - 20th June

This week was another big weeks mileage with some qulaity sessions in it.  All of it was done on my own which is not a problem.

M- 6 mile am, 10 mile pm.  Felt good on both runs.  Evening run from home and took in some roads to Stalybridge and back over the tracks on the moors via Hobson Moor.
T- 6 mile am, session in the evening.  Went down to watch the races at Trafford AC so did the session from there.  Warm up, 16 x 75 secs off 45 secs jog recovery. Warm down.  12 miles total.  To start with the the efforts felt like an effort but after three or four I got in to them and enjoyed the session.
W- 6 mile am, 11 mile pm.
T- 15 miles pm.  Felt really good.  Maintained a good pace all the way round the run.  Hot night for it.
F- 6 mile am, 6 mile pm.
S- Road session from home.  Wanted to get it done early so I could take Kadi to the track when Donna trained.  Kadi likes the track which is a good job really!  For a two year old she seems to know how to get down in to the start position and then calls out 'On your marks, set, go!'.  Session was 6 x 5mins off 2 mins jog.  Hit them all hard and covered some good distance.  12 miles total.  Afternoon and we were both at Athlete Matters for physio.  I did my second run of the day when Donna was being treated.  5 miles nice and steady round Worsley Woods.
S- 24 miles.  Went out at 7am because if not it seems like the whole of Sunday is devoted to mine and Donnas runs.  The weather was warm even at 7am and by the time I got home I was a little hot!  Maintained a good hard pace on the whole run which was mainly done on good paths, tracks and canal towpaths.

Total mileage- 119 miles.

A good weeks training.  Felt good throughout the whole week.  Going to put in another big week this coming week.

Comments On "Training 14th June - 20th June"

I take a vit c tablet each morning and most nights. From what I have been told you can't over dose on Vit C as you will just piss any extra out. I eat well, love my food. Throughout the day I snack a lot and not always healthy stuff but food = Energy! I have meat most evenings (Chicken) with pasta or rice and love Friday night curry night. Our local curry house make a cracking chicken Balti.

Andi, on a week such as this ie. well over 100 miles, what do you eat on a typical day? Also, do you take any supplements?
