Trainingsession Training 14th March - 20th March
M- 6 mile am, 10 mile pm.
T- 6 mile am, Track Session PM!!! Off I went to Sports City to run round in circles! First venture on the track this year. Idea was to do 12 x 400m off 40 secs. All went well which I am pleased to say. Heart was pumping out of my chest but the session was pleasing. Average was 66 secs so pleased. Warm up and down. 9 mile approx.
W- 15 mile run pm. Ran with Andy and Dave Norman for most of it. Had to move my 15 miler from Thursday to Wednesday due to a busy day at work planned for Thursday.
T- 6 mile am, 6 mile pm. Pm run was a little later than normal due to busy day and a late meeting.
F- 6 mile am, 6 mile pm. Felt fine which I add here as saturday AM was a whole different story.
S- Got up early to do 6 mile run before a physio appointment, but got half mile down road and the pain in my chest and ribs was bad. Couldn't work out what was going on but after some thought I can only presume I stretched something on Friday at work when I was moving some large boards. So I had a physio appointment at Athlete Matters booked so got Duncan Mason to have a look at it. He treated it and I didnt run for the rest of the day.
S- Got up early to test me chest out before deciding if to run the northern relays or not. Pain had got a million times better but could still feel it so decided with my coach to stay home. 2 miles for the day!
Weekly total- 72 miles
A smaller week than planned but luckily the pain in my ribs and chest is getting better each hour. We are hopeful tomorrow that I will be able to make a return to my planned training sessions for the week.
