Trainingsession Training 17th May - 23rd May
Another week of good training. Starting to increase the mileage now and to build up on the sessions.
M- 10 Mile on moors
T- Session from Trafford AC. Donna was racing so after meetings at work it was off to Trafford where I did my session on the River Mersey. Warm up, 10 x 2mins off 1 min jog, warm down. 10 mile in total
W- 10 mile steady
T- 12 mile from work up on the Pennine Bridleway before the Govs meeting. Physio at 8.45pm. Long day but productive.
F- 5 mile am. (Did this run early morning to allow lots of time before Saturday session.)
S- Warm up, 4 x 5mions off 2 mins jog, warm down. 10 mile
S- Long run. Waited till 12 noon to make sure the sun was nice and hot. This was to help with training in hot conditions ready for the European and Commonwealth Marathons. Was about 28oc at lunchtime on Sunday when I started. Ended up stopping for a drink from the reser. Headed off up on to the moors and then over to Tintwistle. 15 mile.
Weekly total- 72 miles
A good weeks training. Next week sees the introduction of some double days.
