Trainingsession Training 21st Feb - 27th Feb
M- 10 mile am. Ran it in . Evening run with Gaz Raven and Dave Norman. Very very steady 10.02 miles round Manchester.
T- Decided to do my session in the morning as I am on half term. Warm up, 10 x 1k, off 1 min jog, warm down. 12.45 miles for the whole run. Felt good. Hit all the efforts hard and was pleased with the way the session went. Afternoon run on the moors and canal. 10.07 mile steady.
W- 10 mile am. Lots of good climbs in it which kept things steady. 10.64 miles pm in 63.18. Pace at just under 6 min miling. Pancake flat from Wythenshawe Park.
T- 15 mile pacey run. Went out early to give myself a good long recovery before Friday runs. Ran 15 miles in 1.24.56. Not a flat route so hit the climbs hard. Felt very good and relaxed.
F- 6 mile am. 6 mile pm.
S- Warm up 3 mile. Session in Heation Park. 5 x 1mile off 2 mins recovery. Long warm down. 9.5 miles. Morning total 17.5miles. Felt strong on my mile reps if not fast. Could have done more if told to. 6 mile pm nice and steady.
S- Lonf Sunday run off road. Very hilly and muddy. Same run as last Sunday but the opposite way round. Felt fine on my run but could tell I was running the route the tougher way. Same climb in total as last week but steeper climbs this week followed by easier downhill sections. 18.37 miles. Garmin Connect view of run on my facebook page.
Weekly total- 132.05 miles
Big week for mileage but I have been off work and had lots of time for rest in the afternoons. Next school holiday is in 7 weeks and so is the London Maraton 7 week today!!! Looking forward to next seven weeks.
