Trainingsession Training 26th Dec - 1st Jan 2012
M- 6.69 mile. Easy run before the Ribble Valley 10k. It was during this run I finally decided not to race the 10k. Just hadn't fully recoevered from illness and was going to do myself no good racing when not quite right.
T- 11 mile run. Feel fine when running steady runs but just know trying to race wouldn't be sensible.
W- 10.25 mile run off road on hilly route.
T- 6 Mile tempo run. Three mile warm up, 6 mile harder, warm down. Felt ok on tempo. Did a few loops of an old power station where I knew the traffic would be quiet. 11.53 mile total.
F- 6.45 mile steady.
S- Session at Uni Playing Fileds. was supposed to be going to Auld Lang Syne but Donna wasn't well and up iun the night with Kadi so didn't end up making it. Shame as I think the Auld Lang Syne race is one of the best I do in the year. Session was 3 x 8mins and 1 x 1mile for me. Still felt a little tired towards the end of the session which is expected when doing a session but fle gtmore tired than I should have. 10 mile for the session and warm up and down.
S- 19 mile. First ten mile on flatter ground compared to the second half of the run. Second half took in a very good climb off road. A very wet and windy first run of the year!
Weekly total- 74.92 mile.
A good weeks training and now hopefully over any illness I have had this last two weeks.
