Trainingsession Training 6th September - 12th September
Another good week of training. Had to miss my Saturday evening run due to the Commonwealth Games team briefing meeting in London. After finishing the meeting at 5pm I then had to drive home. By the time I got home it was too late to get my run in. Butb never mind.
M- 6 mile am. 11.40 mile pm. Ran with Matt Shaw from Sale Harriers. Ran at a good pace.
T- 6 mile am. Track session pm. First time at the track for ages! Warm up, 2 mile which was more like an assault course! 12 x 400m off 30 secs recovery. All in 67 sec pace as asked for by the coach. Was doing 16 but I blistered the back of both my heels. Been sore ever since so lots of plasters on them. 8 mile with warm up and down.
W- 6 mile am. 11.61 mile pm with Dave Norman.
T- 12.05 mile. was down for 15 miles but a meeting over ran and my late governors meeting started early so the run got cut downa a few miles.
F- 6 mile am. 6.5 mile pm followed by a 4 hour drive to London with Niall. Traffic was bad on the M6 all the way down. Got to hotel at 9pm.
S- Early morning session. Was running for 7.30am. Warm up, 5 x 5mins off 2 mins jog, warm down. 12 mile in total. Felt good on my reps. Stuck to a loop I worked out on my warm up so I didnt get lost. Rest of day spent at the Commonwealth Games Team Briefing meeting. Was good I suppose.
S- Worsley Woods Trail race. one lap of the race for warm up, 4.29mile, one lap in the race, one lap in reverse after the race and then some more miles to make it up to a 20 mile day. Race was good even though I ran a minute slower than last year! Ground conditions were very wet and muddy. Won the race from Jason Ward of Tipton.
Weekly Total- 105.56 miles.
