Trainingsession Training 7th June - 13th June
The cold disappeared more or else come last Sunday so this week saw a return to big mileage, well when work and boring meetings allowed!!!
M- 6 miles am, 12 miles pm.
T- 6 miles am, evening session from work before a govoners meeting. Warm up, 8 x 3mins off 1 min jog, warm down. 11 miles. Felt good after the first few reps. Did the majority of the reps around Cowm Reser which is flat. Was at work from 7am till 8.30pm.
W- 6 miles am, 11 miles pm.
T- Should have been 14 miles but a late finishing afternoon meeting didn't leave long before the second govoners meeting of the week so had to cut it short. Not happy but not much I could do really. 11 miles hard. Was at work from 7am till 8pm.
F- 6 miles am, 6 miles m.
S- Session from home. Warm up, 6 x 5mins hard off 2 mins jog, long warm down. (12 miles) Felt good on the reps. Couldn't recall if my coach said 5 or 6 reps so did the 6 seeing as the marathon is fast approaching. 5 miles pm steady.
S- Had the intention of getting up at 6am to get my run done, but turned the alarm off and went back to sleep. After upping the mileage this week and some mad busy long days I decided to stay in bed, or until Kadi got up at least. Went out at 11am from Donnas sisters house. Big lap round Glossop and Whitworth before heading up the Snake Pass for a little bit and then over Bleaklow. Good climb up Bleaklow but kept working hard and moving at a good pace. Finished with a lap round the resers in Tintwistle and then back over the moor. 2 hours 20 mins and a good 22 miles. Sweating a great deal during the run.
Weekly total- 114 miles.
A good big week of training. Felt good throughout the week but it was my first week of over 100 miles for a while. Lets see if I feel as good next weekend! Not got any racing planned over the next week. Am entered for the 10k at Birmingham a week on Friday. Would really like a good road race come the end of June but can't see one happening at the moment.
