Holidays
I can hear people saying it already, you can't be on holiday again can you?
Well it's half term in England and we get a week off, which was good timing as it meant I could go to the relay race I have just wrote about in the race section and not need anytime off work.
This week my aim is to get some good runs in and to get some good rest. How much rest I will get I am not sure as I am off to a caravan in North Wales tomorrow with my wife and daughter and her sister and brother-in-law. Hopefully I can get some nice running in and still have rest as well as spending time with kadi.
My plan at the moment is to run once a day or to do a session a day in the run up to Christmas. I want to work on my speed over the coming weeks and be in a good position physically ready to start a marathon build up period at the start of the New Year. I have a place in the London Marathon and this is the marathon I am currently aiming for. I did think about an earlier marathon in Feb time but am going off this idea.
I have looked at a few races over the coming months to help break up the Sunday runs and to add that enjoyment factor back to the runs like I had a few years ago. I got in to running because I like racing. Years ago I raced every opportunity I got and really enjoyed it. I am not saying I am going to be racing each Saturday and Sunday but I hope to get some of my favourite races in over the coming two months to Christmas.
Next race for me is going to be the National XC Relays. Hopefully if I get some sessions in between now and the race my legs might want to start running quick and turning over faster than they currently do.
Have a nice week everyone.

The tin shack is spot on. Lovely and warm, metres from the beach and spot on for running.
