Merry Christmas
So here it is, Merry Christmas!
I read with interest a thread on eightlane that is just about to turn to a slagging off about running on Christmas day. Should you run, why should you run, whats wrong with you if you dont run and no doubt by the time I finish writing this someone will have slagged someone off for their views on running on Christmas day.
Well I will be out very early Christmas morning to get a short run in. If I wasn't racing the Ribble Valley 10k on Tuesday I would have been having to get up even earlier to get my long Sunday run in but it works out rather nicely this year. I have my alarm set for 5am so I can get out for my run and be home for 6am which will hopefully be well before Kadi wakes up.
Hopefully I wont see a single person when I am out running, the world will hopefully all be asleep and I can be alone pounding the streets and lanes of where I live.
Since my last blog training has been going well. I have been getting a good number of miles in from running just once a day. I have been on the track and feel like I am getting some speed back before cranking it up after the New Year for the Marathon I am aiming for. I am looking forward to starting double day running and the marathon training.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy your running.
