Heart rate
Hi big D,
Ben M Posted on July 5th, 2011I'm not very strict with my heart rate zones, but I know roughly what they are at certain levels of effort and I use them as a guide more than anything. I definitely try and keep them low on recovery days (low for me is under 140bpm) and if I'm above 180 on a tempo run I know I'm probably pushing a touch too hard. I find it a very good guide to fitness level and I know roughly what I expect it to be on a steady run, and if it's below that I know I'm doing well!
