Trainingsession 27th - 5th March

Sunday - was supposed to do 20k then the dorney Lake 10k but we got time of race wrong so ended up just doing the course 40 mins before the race! Still, the same training effect. Was extremely windy but just did laps of the lake with John Hutchins, was about 5k per lap.  Did 5 miles at 5.50 miling, then 10k in 32.07 (was supposed ot be mara pace and pace ranged fomr 4.50 to 5.08 miling depending on the wind! Last mile was 5.27 (HUGE wind in face). then had 5 mins breather while we worked out what was going on and did 10k on our own around the course. I did this in 30.53. Felt pretty comfortable throughout and was working hard but wasn't in bits at the end. A good 30k session. Then jogged for 20 mins to make 20 miles in 1hr 50. (20) Link here

Monday - AM -  50 mins easy before work. Legs felt ok but sore for first few mins. 6.56 miling (7)

PM - 71 mins around the canals. Hip eased off after 30 mins or so but it's a constant niggle. Was actually moving quite well though at 6.12 miling and 143 bpm (11.5)

Tuesday - AM - 41 mins easy around the heath at 7.01 miling and 131 bpm. Hip and foot both sore. A constant annoyance! (6)

PM - 53 mins home from work. Hip very sore on this run and whenever I stop, the first few steps to get going agian are very sore. Foot seems better after treatment and lots of golf ball rolling! 6.27 miling (8)

Wednesday - 90 mins steady around finsbury Park loop. Hip was very sore to begin with and only really eased off after 40 misn or so. Not a very comfortable run but at least it eases off. 6.43 miling and 137 bpm (13.5)

PM - saw physio who thought it could be stress fracture so no more running and am booked in for MRI scan on tonight to see what happens

Friday - Not run since wednesday - not a stress fracture but hip inflammation. Rest and physio and cross trainnig....

66 miles. Week cut short with injury and all very frustrtaing after a great session on Sunday...
