Trainingsession 8th - 14th January
Sunday - 2 hours 3 along Dollis Valley Brook path at 6.37 miling (18.5)
Monday - AM - 48 mins at 6.39 miling into work (7.5)
PM - 53 mins steady at 6.10 miling round Victoria PArk in lunch break (8.5)
Tuesday - AM - 43 mins easy round Regents Park at 7.03 miling (6)
PM - 87 mins easy with 6 x 6 mins tempo off 1min all around road loop of regents Park. First tester for hamstring and it was 'ok' but could feel it. Got a slightly cold sensation in toes on same side too. Trapper nerve maybe. Was quite dark in places so wasn't superfast. Averaged 5.10 miling and 167 bpm. Heart rate seems a lot lower on tempo efforts than it used to be. MAybe I'm getting old (14)
Wednesday - 75 mins easy round the heath at 6.46 miling. Hamstring was pretty sore.... (11)
Thursday - AM - 53 mins steady round the Heath at 6.43 miling. Had some pretty intense physio yesterday and hamstring feels a lot better! (8)
PM - 52 mins home from work at 6.14 miling (8.5)
Friday - 49 mins into work at 6.26 miling (7.5)
Saturday - AM - 53 mins steady round Heath at 6.36 miling and 143 bpm (8)
PM - 39 mins easy along Brighton seafront at 6.22 miling with John Hutchins (6)
103.5 miles. Hamstring definitely improved after the horrible treatement Paul gave me on wednesday. I have lots of exercises to activate my glute more and also have to stretch the hell out of it and ice/heat treat it. I'll be very happy if it can go away. IT's a niggle but a persistent one.... Good to get over the 100 mile mark too. Need more of these.

Hi Ben. Could you please give us an insight to what glute/ hamstring exercises you have been given to do. My left glute seems pretty weak and it is causing my hamstring on the same side to tighten up. Any help would be great. Cheers
