Comments On "Week ending 20th March"

I was sharing a villa with TFN Tri Club so i was invited out for a quick spin on one of the bikes. I substituted a 6 mile run for a bike ride instead. Due to my lack of handling skills i had a puncture at high speed resulting in me coming off the road and having to run the final 2 miles with the bike in one hand! Mite as well stick to running from now on!

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing isn't a normal part of my training programme. I was in Spain for the week so i took the opportunity to do something active instead of sunbathing by the pool in between sessions. I thought id include this in my training as it was a real tough work out! I felt the effects in the arms and legs the next day as you can imagine. I wouldn't recommend any runner doing this as part of there weekly programme but its great fun!

Climbing session???

Unusual training session- ROCK CLIMBING for a distance runner????
Is this a normal part of your schedule then?
or is it to strengthen the legs?
