Folksam Challenge Molndal

This was my first ever race in Sweden and to be my last of the season. I went into the race with no expectation on time or position which i think helped me to relax and enjoy the experience. Baring that in mind i still wanted to end the season with a good performance so i didn't leave it too late in the race to have an impact on the end result. With 500m to go there was 5 or 6 of us in contention so i decided to get to the front and push on the pace to save leaving it to chance over the last 100m. At the same time another athlete forced his way past at the bell with some speed so i just had to hang on and use my strength in the final 100m. Winning the race has given me a great boost, i am now looking forward to a good winter in preparation for 2012!
