Progression

Hi

Sorry its been a while since i last blogged, i have been meaning to get round to it for the last few weeks.  So our winter training is well under way now & i'm pleased with how things have been going so far.  We have been much more cautious this year with the volume of training & am only slowly starting to get up towards where i want/usually would be.  With all the problems of the Summer we decided to gradually add things in & not go to crazy in the first month or 2 & so far so good.  I'm still getting regular blood tests to keep an eye on things & the most recent set showed a bit of a dip in my ferrotin levels which was probably to be expected since the last set were taken after my lengthy rest, i still just have to be careful & make sure i continue with the supplementation.

I had a vo2max test at the Scottish Insitute of Sport a few weeks ago, I have to say that it certainly wasn't my favourite way to spend a Monday morning.  The results showed a slight dip in my vo2max from the last test i had a few years ago but an increase in my running efficiency, i was relatively happy with the test considering the stage of the season & the fact that i had only been back training for about 5/6 weeks.
