Athleteprofile

I joined Kilbarchan AAC when i was 9 years old & have been a club member ever since, I am currently our club captain & like to compete for the club as often as possible.

My coach, Derek Parker, has been my coach for my entire career so far & has played a huge part in the success i have had.  2009 was a huge breakthrough year for me in which i reduced my pb's over both 800m & 1500m.

I made my first major champs in 2010 representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi but the majority of my season was ruined by injury.  2011 will see me again focus on reducing my pb's over 800/1500m.

So my first race of the season went reasonably well.  The weather even managed to be not too bad later in the afternoon for the 1500's although it was still a bit windy!  I had set out with the aim to try & run 67/68 for the 1st lap then to try & have a couple of laps at 68's & .. Read More
