Scottish Open/Loughborough Trials 1500m

So my first race of the season went reasonably well.  The weather even managed to be not too bad later in the afternoon for the 1500's although it was still a bit windy!  I had set out with the aim to try & run 67/68 for the 1st lap then to try & have a couple of laps at 68's & see what i had left in the last 300m, the first lap went according to plan with me leading through 400m in 67.2, Jo Moultrie took the lead just before 500 & i was happy to settle behind & let someone else do some of the work, we went through 800m in 2.17 so had dropped to 70 seconds which was too slow, i kept behind for the next 200 & took the lead back with 500m remaining, at the 1200m point we were at 3.25 & i stretched from there to take the win in 4.15.11.

The report card read, good 1st 500m, lazy middle 500m & good last 500m.  Hopefully with a few more races under my belt & a little more race experience at 1500 there are still a good few seconds to come off this year.
